Well I didn’t exactly do this any early in the day. It’s almost 1pm here now. Whatever.
I did however write a piece on a different blog where I discuss web stuff. I also posted this item on Y-Combinator and kind of got ripped. The folks on that site are great, but very literal. Perhaps next time I will do better on the quality of my content or state very clearly that I’m just making some observations if that is the case.
I’m glad to have done it though. It seems like good experience. Now if I could just figure out how to get on the front page of Digg or Reddit. I’m very interested in what traffic for that domain will look like tomorrow. Up until now there has only been 100 visits. After a couple of hours on the front of HN I should see a nice boost.
I think as soon as my five minutes are up today I will research and begin writing a new piece. Perhaps work on the process of researching and writing to better hone my opinions and points. So that I will actually be able to contribute something of value back to a community I get so much from. *ding*
